Tamara Gardner, DVM
Associate veterinarian Dr. Tamara Gardner has cared for pets at McKillip Animal Hospital since 2003. She grew up on a farm in Bangor, Michigan and was surrounded by cats, dogs, chickens and horses. Becoming a veterinarian was a natural choice for her and she loves getting to know her patients while helping strengthen the bond between pets and their owners.
Dr. Gardner completed her undergraduate education at Michigan State University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science in 1996. She pursued her veterinary education at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1998.
Surgery, oncology and internal medicine are among Dr. Gardner's many professional interests. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical association and the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association.
When she's not at the hospital, Dr. Gardner enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling and attending sporting events. She enjoys the companionship of her Golden Retriever, Sadie.
