Rachel Stutzman, DVM
Associate veterinarian at McKillip Animal Hospital since 2007, Dr. Rachel Stutzman grew up in Cheney, Kansas. She has always loved animals, and it was when she worked in the hospital at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine that she decided to pursue a career as a veterinarian. She most enjoys working with the wide variety of cases that come into McKillip Animal Hospital each day.
Dr. Stutzman completed her undergraduate education at Kansas State University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science in 2000. She continued her veterinary education at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Following veterinary school, she completed a one-year internship at Asher Animal Hospital in Redding, CA and focused on medicine and surgery with an emphasis on emergency care.
Surgery and ophthalmology are among Dr. Stutzman's many professional interests. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
When she is away from her professional duties at the hospital, Dr. Stutzman enjoys competing in triathlons. She also enjoys reading, camping and hiking. Dr. Stutzman shares her home with a Greyhound named Banker and a cat named Matilda.
